Search engine giant Google launched ‘Product Listing Ads’. Will It Help Indian E-Commerce?

Google India has recently unveiled Product Listing Ads service in India, which can enhance your online shopping experience and highlights different merchants offering even more, such ads will appear when one will forward a shopping related query on and in response a new page will appear displaying product image, prices and other related information’s.

A merchant who wants to give an ad of his products on Google’s Product Listing Ads will be charged only when the user clicks that specific ad and according to Google’s official blog Clicks on Product Listing Ads are charged on a cost-per-click (CPC) basis. And for all this, a merchant has to create a Google Ad word account as well as merchant center account. Initially, these ads will be placed on the right-hand side of the search result page and will be labeled as sponsored according to Google statement.

This service will allow merchants to showcase their products on Google shopping creating a more appealing shopping experience.

Google Inc also agreed to give license to retailers rating services Stella Services which is world’s largest internet search company, researching on customer service quality at online retailers measuring certain elements like time taken for response and speed of product returns.

Everything here is looking perfect but we have to wait and watch that what benefits this service will in practice.
